Bronze Steel Doors

This Manchester project features a beautifully crafted bronze internal steel door with fluted glass, designed to bring both privacy and architectural interest to the space.

The warm bronze finish introduces a softer, more contemporary alternative to traditional black steel, complementing the surrounding timber flooring and neutral interior palette. The slim steel frame maintains the elegant proportions expected from bespoke steel doors, while the rich bronze tone adds warmth and character to the hallway.

The door incorporates fluted glass, sometimes referred to as reeded or ribbed glass, which allows natural light to pass through while gently obscuring visibility. This makes it an ideal choice for areas where light flow is important but full transparency is not desired. The vertical texture of the glass also adds subtle visual detail, enhancing the overall design.

A distinctive curved steel detail within the door frame provides a unique architectural feature, demonstrating the flexibility of bespoke steel fabrication. Combined with the tall glazed panel above, the design draws the eye upward and maximises the sense of height within the space.

Manufactured specifically for this property, the door was produced to the exact dimensions of the opening to ensure perfect alignment and smooth operation. The result is a striking yet refined feature that combines craftsmanship, functionality and contemporary design.
